Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, says he is increasingly increasing concerned over the continued problems with the running of the health service in North Wales.
Mr Rowlands, a harsh critic of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, was commenting after it was reported that a shortage of inpatient beds had led to long delays in A&E at Wrexham Maelor Hospital over the last few days.
He said:
The Welsh Government’s mismanagement of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and Wrexham Maelor Hospital is continuing to cause real problems for people of North Wales and it is about time they did something about the situation.
It has been reported that people attending Wrexham Maelor Hospital are being told there is up to a three day wait for a hospital bed, with upwards of 15 ambulances waiting outside at one time.
I really am appalled to hear about this and feel so sorry for patients and the hard working staff who are doing their best to cope without the support they desperately need.
I make no apologies for constantly raising my concerns over the running of BCUHB, who remain in Special Measures, but the lack of action and support from the Welsh Government is scandalous and it is the people of North Wales who are suffering.
They really deserve so much better.
Sam Rowlands AS yn mynnu bod angen gweithredu ynghylch oedi yn adran Damweiniau ac Achosion Brys yn un o ysbytai'r Gogledd
Dywed Sam Rowlands, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, ei fod yn poeni fwyfwy am broblemau parhaus gwasanaeth iechyd yn y Gogledd.
Roedd Mr Rowlands, beirniad llym o Fwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr, yn gwneud sylw yn sgil adroddiadau fod prinder gwelyau cleifion mewnol wedi arwain at oedi hir yn adran damweiniau ac achosion brys Ysbyty Maelor Wrecsam dros y dyddiau diwethaf.
Meddai:
Mae camreoli Llywodraeth Cymru ym Mwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr ac Ysbyty Maelor Wrecsam yn parhau i achosi problemau dybryd i drigolion y Gogledd ac mae'n hen bryd iddyn nhw wneud rhywbeth am y sefyllfa.
Adroddwyd bod pobl sy'n mynd i Ysbyty Maelor Wrecsam yn cael gwybod bod rhaid disgwyl hyd at dridiau am wely ysbyty, gyda dros 15 ambiwlans yn disgwyl y tu allan ar y tro.
Mae hyn yn warthus ac rwy'n teimlo'n flin iawn dros gleifion a'r staff sy'n gweithio'n galed ac yn gwneud eu gorau glas i ymdopi heb y cymorth y mae dybryd angen amdano.
Dwi ddim yn ymddiheuro am leisio pryderon cyson am y ffordd y caiff Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr ei redeg, sy'n dal i fod dan Fesurau Arbennig, ond mae'r diffyg gweithredu a chefnogaeth gan Lywodraeth Cymru yn warthus, a phobl y Gogledd sy'n dioddef.
Maen nhw'n haeddu cymaint gwell.
