Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales and Gareth Davies MS for the Vale of Clwyd have congratulated a St Asaph renewable energy company for gaining a prestigious award.
Mr Rowlands and Mr Davies recently visited an Arbed am Byth project in Dyserth.
Arbed is the Welsh Government’s project to improve the energy efficiency of domestic buildings, making them more self-sufficient and saving the occupiers money.
Mr Rowlands said:
I was delighted to see the excellent work being carried out in Dyserth, by JM Renewables, a local firm based in St. Asaph, who recently won the Welsh Solar PV Installer and Contractor of the Year award.
They were carrying out work for Arbed am Byth, which arranges the installation of energy efficient measures in homes across Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.
It is an excellent scheme and these days more than ever, with rising energy costs on the horizon, having suitable insulation and efficient heating systems is vital for those who are struggling with the cost of high energy bills.
Mr Davies said:
I was pleased to be able to see the work which is being carried out in my constituency by an award winning company. The future increase in energy costs will affect us all and it is absolutely essential there is help available for those who need it.
Arbed carries out work all over Wales on properties owned by councils, housing associations and privately owned.
Arbed projects usually save the homeowner between £150 - £400 per year and by the end of October Arbed hope to have upgraded over 4,000 properties across the Wales.
