Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is urging people to help their favourite kebab house to be voted the best in Wales.
He said:
I am delighted to see Chip-o-Dee, in Wrexham, reaching the final of this prestigious competition and could well be crowned the best kebab house in Wales.
Owner, Haci Deniz, is well known in the city for his charitable efforts and has worked hard since 2020 to build up his popular takeaway.
In the past he has donated the takings from one day of lunchtime orders to the Lauren Brown Fund, supports Nightingale House Hospice and has previously supported staff at the Wrexham Maelor hospital with meals during long shifts.
There are also two other finalists from North Wales, Yiannos Fish Bar, Mynydd Isa and Anka Turkish Restaurant, Bangor and they all deserve our warmest congratulations for reaching the final.
The British Kebab Awards in association with JUST EAT recognises and champions the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the nation.
Fans of their friendly neighbourhood kebab takeaways and restaurants can claim they truly do have Britain’s best kebab takeaway and restaurant by voting for them in the British Kebab Awards.
The British Kebab Awards is a true celebration of the industry, which naturally draws key figures from all sections of the takeaway and restaurant sector.
As a reflection of the kebab industry’s significant contribution to the UK economy and British culture in general, the awards welcome a host of celebrities, prominent politicians, journalists and most importantly the nation’s hard-working restaurant workers for an evening of celebration.
Voting now for your favourite Kebab house in Wales is now open. To register your vote go to: https://voting.britishkebabawards.co.uk/
