Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales has welcomed the success of food and drink producers from his region in the nationally acclaimed Great Taste Awards.

We all know that food and drink from North Wales is held in the highest regard all over the world for its superlative quality and excellent taste and it is only fitting that the sector is recognised for this.
Our food and drink business makes a vital contribution to the Welsh economy and I am absolutely delighted to see success for so many producers from North Wales region in the Great Taste Awards.
Well done to Happy Hedgehog Foods from Wrexham, who received 3-stars for their strawberry balsamic vinegar and to Dolwen Lamb and Beef from Llanarmon DC near Llangollen, who also won the top award for their organic Welsh lamb shoulder.
Many businesses all over North Wales entered the awards and they all deserve my warmest congratulations.
Among the success stories in North Wales were Heartland Coffee Roasters from Llandudno, who were awarded two 1-star awards, as was Edwards of Conwy and Aber Falls Distillery, Llanfairfechan, received 1-star.
