Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is urging people to have their say on proposed improvements to the local walking and cycling network.
He said:
I think it is a great idea to actually ask local people for their views and let them have a say on what is provided in their area.
I would urge anyone who wants to share their views on the plans to take part in the survey which is online until January 15.
Denbighshire County Council and Conwy County Council are working with Sustrans Cymru to make local active travel – a term used for journeys with a purpose- in the area accessible, more enjoyable and safer for the whole community, encouraging more journeys to be taken on foot or bicycle instead of by car.
A new traffic-free route is being designed which is a shared use path to offer a more direct alternative between the communities of Kinmel Bay and Rhyl. The route will be 1.5km long, reaching from Owain Glyndwr residential area through the fields up to the railway bridge, crossing over the River Clwyd and passing by the Marine Lake.
Sustrans is seeking feedback from the people who live, work and travel in this area who could benefit from the proposals, on what they would like to see along the new routes in the future.
Residents can share their ideas and feedback by visiting the project website hosted by Sustrans: http://sustrans.info/ActiveTravelRiverClwydBridge
Paper versions of the consultation can be obtained by contacting Sustrans Cymru via email: [email protected] or by writing to Sustrans Cymru, ~One Canal Parade, Dumballs Road, CF10 5BF, Cardiff.
Sam Rowlands AS yn annog trigolion i ddweud eu dweud ar lwybrau cerdded a beicio newydd rhwng y Rhyl a Bae Cinmel
Mae Sam Rowlands, Aelod o'r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, yn annog pobl i ddweud eu dweud ar welliannau arfaethedig i'r rhwydwaith cerdded a beicio lleol.
Meddai:
Dwi'n credu ei fod yn syniad gwych gofyn am farn pobl leol a gadael iddyn nhw ddweud eu dweud ar yr hyn sy'n cael ei ddarparu yn eu hardal.
Byddwn yn annog unrhyw un sydd am rannu eu barn am y cynlluniau i gymryd rhan yn yr arolwg ar-lein tan Ionawr 15.
Mae Cyngor Sir Ddinbych a Chyngor Sir Conwy yn gweithio gyda Sustrans Cymru i sicrhau bod cynlluniau teithio llesol – term sy'n cael ei ddefnyddio am deithiau gyda phwrpas - yr ardal yn hygyrch, yn fwy pleserus a saffach i'r gymuned gyfan, gan annog mwy o deithiau ar droed neu ar feic yn lle mewn car.
Mae llwybr newydd di-draffig yn cael ei gynllunio, llwybr cyd-ddefnyddio sy'n cynnig dewis arall uniongyrchol rhwng cymunedau Bae Cinmel a'r Rhyl. Bydd y llwybr 1.5km o hyd yn mynd o ardal breswyl Owain Glyndŵr drwy'r caeau i fyny at y bont reilffordd, cyn croesi dros Afon Clwyd a phasio heibio Marine Lake.
Mae Sustrans yn gofyn am adborth gan rai sy'n byw, gweithio a theithio yn yr ardal hon a allai elwa ar y cynigion, er mwyn nodi beth hoffen nhw ei weld ar hyd y llwybrau newydd yn y dyfodol.
Gall preswylwyr rannu eu syniadau a'u hadborth drwy fynd i wefan prosiect Sustrans: http://sustrans.info/ActiveTravelRiverClwydBridge
