Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has welcomed the launch of further grants for local projects in Wrexham and Flintshire.
Mr Rowlands is now urging local charities and non-profit organisations to apply for funding from the Hafren Dyfrdwy Community Fund.
He said:
I am delighted to see more money is now being made available for local projects which help to make a difference in the community.
A number of schemes in north east Wales have already benefited from the Hafren Dyfrdwy Community Fund, including the Wrexham Warehouse project and Agri-cation near Bangor-on-Dee.
I was fortunate enough to spend some time at Agri-cation and see how this innovative business is focusing on teaching young people about the food chain, the environment and the farming industry. It was really interesting to see how everything works and speak to people involved.
I support any financial help for local schemes which ultimately benefit the community and urge those who meet the criteria to apply.
The Hafren Dyfrdwy Community Fund, was set up by Severn Trent Water, covering mid Wales including Powys, Wrexham and Flintshire, in 2021 to support new projects within the Hafren Dyfrdwy region which aim to make a difference within the community.
The next opportunity for applications will be opening on January 30 and applications will be accepted up until April 3.
Non-profit organisations can apply for between £2,000 and £10,000 for new projects that aim to improve community wellbeing across the Hafren Dyfrdwy patch with three key themes:-
People - projects that help people to lead a healthier life and gain new skills; Place - ideas that help create better places to live in and us and Environment - schemes that will help look after the natural environment, give people greater access to that environment or help look after water.
The full eligibility criteria and a useful guidance document with all the information needed to apply can be found on the website: www.hdcymru.co.uk/communityfund.

Sam Rowlands AS yn falch o gefnogi rownd arall o gyllid cymunedol gan Hafren Dyfrdwy
Mae Sam Rowlands, yr Aelod o'r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, wedi croesawu lansiad grantiau pellach ar gyfer prosiectau lleol yn Wrecsam a Sir y Fflint.
Mae Mr Rowlands bellach yn annog elusennau lleol a sefydliadau nid-er-elw i wneud cais am gyllid gan Gronfa Gymunedol Hafren Dyfrdwy.
Meddai:
Rwy'n falch iawn o weld bod mwy o arian bellach ar gael ar gyfer prosiectau lleol sy'n helpu i wneud gwahaniaeth yn y gymuned.
Mae nifer o gynlluniau yn y Gogledd-ddwyrain eisoes wedi elwa ar Gronfa Gymunedol Hafren Dyfrdwy, gan gynnwys prosiect Warws Wrecsam ac Agri-cation ger Bangor Is-Coed.
Roeddwn i'n ddigon ffodus i dreulio peth amser yn Agri-cation a gweld sut mae'r busnes arloesol hwn yn canolbwyntio ar addysgu pobl ifanc am y gadwyn fwyd, yr amgylchedd a'r diwydiant ffermio. Roedd yn ddiddorol iawn gweld sut mae popeth yn gweithio a siarad â phobl sy'n gysylltiedig ag ef.
Rwy'n cefnogi unrhyw help ariannol ar gyfer cynlluniau lleol sydd o fudd i'r gymuned yn y pen draw ac yn annog y rhai sy'n bodloni'r meini prawf i ymgeisio.
Sefydlwyd Cronfa Gymunedol Hafren Dyfrdwy gan Severn Trent Water, sy'n cwmpasu'r Canolbarth gan gynnwys Powys, Wrecsam a Sir y Fflint, yn 2021 i gefnogi prosiectau newydd o fewn rhanbarth Hafren Dyfrdwy sy'n ceisio gwneud gwahaniaeth yn y gymuned.
Bydd y cyfle nesaf ar gyfer ceisiadau yn agor ar 30 Ionawr a bydd ceisiadau'n cael eu derbyn hyd at 3 Ebrill.
Gall sefydliadau nid-er-elw wneud cais am rhwng £2,000 a £10,000 ar gyfer prosiectau newydd sy'n ceisio gwella lles cymunedol ar draws rhanbarth Hafren Dyfrdwy gyda thair thema allweddol:-
Pobl - prosiectau sy'n helpu pobl i fyw bywyd iachach ac ennill sgiliau newydd; Lle - syniadau sy'n helpu i greu llefydd gwell i fyw ynddyn nhw ac Amgylchedd - cynlluniau a fydd yn helpu i ofalu am yr amgylchedd naturiol, yn gwella mynediad pobl at yr amgylchedd neu'n helpu i ofalu am ddŵr.
Mae'r meini prawf cymhwysedd llawn a dogfen ganllawiau ddefnyddiol gyda'r holl wybodaeth sydd ei hangen i wneud cais i'w cael ar y wefan: www.hdcymru.co.uk/communityfund.
