Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales is backing an initiative which helps dementia sufferers in his region.
Mr Rowlands recently visited the centre where he met with staff and carers to learn more about the services they provide.
He said:
I was delighted to have the opportunity to find out more about the work being carried out at the centre. It is an excellent initiative and not only provides help for those suffering with the disease but it also offers a lifeline to carers and their families.
It is always good to have support and somewhere you can turn to so you can learn more about your diagnosis and how to cope with dementia.
I would urge anyone who wants help or more information to attend one of their monthly local support groups which are held all over North Wales.
Carers Trust North Wales offers a service providing personalised information, advice and support to people at the point of a dementia diagnosis for individuals, carers and families.
There are Dementia Co-ordinators based in Memory Clinics across North Wales who can assist with: Planning for the Future; emotional support; advice on money and finances; signposting; information on social activity groups and home visits.
As part of the Dementia Support Service, the trust is running their Taith Ni Club, for people with dementia and their family and friends. Taith Ni is open to people from across North Wales.
The groups provide training, information, advice and support. To find out where your nearest Taith Ni group is and when it's next on, please ring 01492 542212.
