Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, calls on his constituents to have their say on individuals, businesses, and groups who have made an exceptional contribution to the community.
Mr Rowlands is backing Mold Town Council who are asking for nominations for its 2025 Community Awards Scheme.
He said:
I am delighted to see Mold’s Community Awards Scheme return for 2025. It is important to celebrate the hard work of those who go the extra mile to make their town a better place, and it is great to see their contributions recognised in this way.
Nominations are now open and I would urge residents to recognise individuals, businesses our groups who have gone above and beyond.
Mold Town Council is requesting nominations to be put forward for the Mold Community Awards Scheme which acknowledges the outstanding contribution and commitment of groups or individuals living or working within Mold Town or supporting Mold residents.
There are five categories covering outstanding voluntary service and / or outstanding achievement within the community of Mold.
1. Volunteering award - For individuals or groups under the age of 25 who have made a difference to their community through their volunteering.
2. Volunteering award - For individuals or groups aged 25 and over who have made a difference to their community through volunteering.
3. Business of the Year - A business, be it a retailer, market trader or service provider which has shown commitment to the community it serves, through charity work, or the exceptional service it provides.
4. Sporting Achievement Award - To be given to an individual or group that has achieved outstanding performance, shown outstanding ability or encouraged others to participate in a sporting activity.
5. Community Project/Event of the Year Award - This is for a project/event that has benefitted the community.
The sixth award which is the ‘Mayors choice Award’, will be chosen by the Mayor of Mold Councillor Brian Lloyd and awarded to a group or individual who the Mayor considers has made an extraordinary contribution to the Mold community or has provided aspiration to others.
There is no limit to the number of nominations per person, and nominations can be submitted for multiple categories or individuals.

Mae Sam Rowlands, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, yn galw ar ei etholwyr i ddweud eu dweud ar unigolion, busnesau a grwpiau sydd wedi gwneud cyfraniad eithriadol i'r gymuned.
Mae Mr Rowlands yn cefnogi Cyngor Tref yr Wyddgrug sy'n gofyn am enwebiadau ar gyfer ei Gynllun Gwobrau Cymunedol 2025.
Meddai:
Rwy'n falch iawn o weld Cynllun Gwobrau'r Gymuned yr Wyddgrug yn dychwelyd ar gyfer 2025. Mae'n bwysig dathlu gwaith caled y rhai sy'n mynd yr ail filltir i wneud eu tref yn lle gwell, ac mae'n wych gweld eu cyfraniadau yn cael eu cydnabod fel hyn.
Mae'r enwebiadau bellach ar agor a byddwn yn annog preswylwyr i gydnabod unigolion, busnesau neu grwpiau sydd wedi mynd y tu hwnt i hynny.
Mae Cyngor Tref yr Wyddgrug yn gofyn am enwebiadau i gael eu cyflwyno ar gyfer Cynllun Gwobrau Cymunedol yr Wyddgrug sy'n cydnabod cyfraniad ac ymrwymiad rhagorol grwpiau neu unigolion sy'n byw neu'n gweithio yn nhref yr Wyddgrug neu'n cefnogi trigolion yr Wyddgrug.
Mae pum categori sy'n cwmpasu gwasanaeth gwirfoddol rhagorol a/neu gyflawniad rhagorol yng nghymuned yr Wyddgrug.
1. Gwobr Gwirfoddoli - Ar gyfer unigolion neu grwpiau o dan 25 oed sydd wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth i'w cymuned drwy wirfoddoli.
2. Gwobr Gwirfoddoli - Ar gyfer unigolion neu grwpiau 25 oed a hŷn sydd wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth i'w cymuned drwy wirfoddoli.
3. Busnesy Flwyddyn - Busnes, boed yn fanwerthwr, stondin yn y farchnad neu ddarparwr gwasanaeth sydd wedi dangos ymrwymiad i'r gymuned y mae'n ei gwasanaethu, trwy waith elusennol, neu'r gwasanaeth eithriadol y mae'n ei ddarparu.
4. Gwobr Cyflawniad Chwaraeon - I'w roi i unigolyn neu grŵp sydd wedi cyflawni perfformiad rhagorol, wedi dangos gallu rhagorol neu annog eraill i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd chwaraeon.
5. Gwobr Prosiect Cymunedol/Digwyddiad y Flwyddyn - Mae hwn ar gyfer prosiect/digwyddiad sydd wedi bod o fudd i'r gymuned.
Bydd y chweched wobr, sef 'Gwobr Dewis y Maer', yn cael ei dewis gan Faer yr Wyddgrug, y Cynghorydd Brian Lloyd, ac yn cael ei rhoi i grŵp neu unigolyn sydd, ym marn y Maer, wedi gwneud cyfraniad eithriadol i gymuned yr Wyddgrug neu sydd bod yn ysbrydoliaeth i eraill.
