Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales has welcomed plans to attract more tourists to his region.
Mr Rowlands, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Local Government said:
I am delighted to see Denbighshire County Council sharing their plans to welcome visitors with local residents.
It is great to see them already promoting their tourist attractions ahead of the Summer season and also telling local people what is available in their county.
I am particularly impressed with some of the measures they are planning, including offering more car parking spaces and information at popular areas and providing extra street cleaning and bin collections.
North Wales is a beautiful part of the world which boasts a lovely coastline and has countryside and mountains which attract thousands of visitors every year and it is good to see Denbighshire County Council is more than ready to welcome everyone.
With a busy season expected, the Council has made preparations to manage the expected increase in visitors with additional car parking at Moel Famau and Horseshoe Falls, Llangollen. More countryside rangers are also being deployed at beauty spots, including Loggerheads and Moel Famau country parks and Horseshoe Falls, to provide information, support for visitors and help deal with any issues.
Extra street cleaning provision will be in place during the season to focus on busy areas in towns and parks, while increased bin emptying will be in operation at tourist hotspots.
Popular attractions are also returning this year including the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod, July 7 – July 10, Denbigh and Flint Show, August 18 and the Rhyl Air Show, August 27 – August 28.

Sam Rowlands AS yn croesawu cynlluniau Cyngor Sir Ddinbych i hyrwyddo twristiaeth yr haf hwn
Mae’r AS dros Ogledd Cymru, Sam Rowlands, wedi croesawu cynlluniau i ddenu mwy o dwristiaid i’w ranbarth.
Dywedodd Mr Rowlands, Gweinidog Llywodraeth Leol yr Wrthblaid, y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig:
Rwy’n falch iawn o weld Cyngor Sir Ddinbych yn rhannu eu cynlluniau i groesawu ymwelwyr gyda thrigolion lleol.
Mae’n wych eu gweld eisoes yn hyrwyddo eu hatyniadau twristaidd cyn yr haf, a rhoi gwybod i bobl leol beth sydd ar gael yn eu sir hefyd.
Rwy’n arbennig o falch o rai o’r mesurau arfaethedig, gan gynnwys cynnig mwy o leoedd parcio a gwybodaeth mewn ardaloedd poblogaidd a darparu gwasanaethau glanhau strydoedd a biniau ychwanegol.
Mae’r gogledd yn rhan brydferth o’r byd sy’n meddu ar arfordir hyfryd, a chefn gwlad a mynyddoedd sy’n denu miloedd o ymwelwyr bob blwyddyn, ac mae’n dda gweld bod Cyngor Sir Ddinbych yn fwy na pharod i groesawu pawb.
Gyda thymor prysur yn yr arfaeth, mae’r Cyngor wedi gwneud paratoadau i reoli’r cynnydd disgwyliedig yn nifer yr ymwelwyr, gyda chyfleusterau parcio ychwanegol ym Moel Famau a Rhaeadr y Bedol, Llangollen. Mae mwy o geidwaid cefn gwlad hefyd ar ddyletswydd mewn ardaloedd o harddwch, gan gynnwys parciau gwledig Loggerheads a Moel Famau a Rhaeadr y Bedol, i ddarparu gwybodaeth, cymorth i ymwelwyr a helpu i ddelio ag unrhyw broblemau.
Bydd darpariaeth ychwanegol ar gyfer glanhau strydoedd ar waith yn ystod y tymor, gan ganolbwyntio ar ardaloedd prysur mewn trefi a pharciau, tra bydd biniau’n cael eu gwagio’n amlach mewn mannau sy’n denu niferoedd uchel o dwristiaid.
Mae atyniadau poblogaidd hefyd yn dychwelyd eleni, gan gynnwys Eisteddfod Gerddorol Ryngwladol Llangollen, Gorffennaf 7 – Gorffennaf 10, Sioe Dinbych a Fflint, Awst 18 a Sioe Awyr y Rhyl, Awst 27 – Awst 28.
Mae gwybodaeth am hyrwyddo Sir Ddinbych ar gael yn ein Canolfannau Croeso. I ddysgu mwy, ewch i’r ddolen hon https://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/cy/hamdden-a-thwristiaeth/ymweld-a-sir-ddinbych/canolfannau-croeso-a-phwyntiau-gwybodaeth-i-dwristiaid.aspx
