Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales has welcomed pupils from Llanrwst, to the Welsh Parliament.
During the visit, Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government, spoke briefly about his role as a member of the Senedd and took questions from his young visitors.
He said:
It was a real pleasure to welcome the pupils and staff from Ysgol Bro Gwydir and talk to them about what we do as members of the Welsh Parliament.
It was great to see the children so enthusiastic about visiting the Senedd and they asked me a lot of questions about local and national issues.
I think it is so important that children and young people learn more about politics and the Welsh Parliament. I really hope they all enjoyed their time here and I would certainly encourage more schools in North Wales to come and visit.
Sam Rowlands AS yn croesawu disgyblion o Ysgol Bro Gwydir i’r Senedd
Mae Sam Rowlands, AS dros Ogledd Cymru wedi croesawu disgyblion o Lanrwst i Senedd Cymru.
Yn ystod yr ymweliad, siaradodd Mr Rowlands, Gweinidog yr Wrthblaid dros Lywodraeth Leol, yn gryno am ei rôl fel Aelod o’r Senedd, ac atebodd gwestiynau gan ei ymwelwyr ifanc.
Dywedodd:
Roedd yn bleser o’r mwyaf croesawu disgyblion a staff Ysgol Bro Gwydir a siarad â hwy am yr hyn yr ydym yn ei wneud fel Aelodau o Senedd Cymru.
Roedd yn wych gweld y plant mor frwdfrydig ynglŷn ag ymweld â’r Senedd ac fe wnaethant ofyn llawer o gwestiynau i mi am faterion lleol a chenedlaethol.
Credaf ei bod mor bwysig bod plant a phobl Ifanc yn dysgu mwy am wleidyddiaeth a Senedd Cymru. Rwy’n gobeithio’n wir eu bod i gyd wedi mwynhau eu hamser yma ac yn sicr, byddwn yn annog mwy o ysgolion yng Ngogledd Cymru i ddod i ymweld â’r Senedd.
