Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales has welcomed pupils from Greenfield to the Welsh Parliament.
During the visit, Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government, spoke briefly about his role as a member of the Senedd and took questions from his young visitors.
He said:
It was fantastic to welcome the pupils and staff from Ysgol Maesglas, Greenfield, Holywell and talk to them about what we do as members of the Welsh Parliament.
It was great to see the children so enthusiastic about visiting the Senedd and they asked me a lot of challenging and insightful questions about local and national issues.
I think it is so important that children and young people learn more about politics and the Welsh Parliament. I really hope they all enjoyed their time here and I would certainly encourage more schools in North Wales to come and visit.
Sam Rowlands AS yn croesawu disgyblion Ysgol Maesglas i'r Senedd
Mae Sam Rowlands, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, wedi croesawu disgyblion o Ysgol Maesglas i’r Senedd.
Yn ystod yr ymweliad, siaradodd Mr Rowlands, Gweinidog Llywodraeth Leol yr Wrthblaid, yn fyr am ei rôl fel Aelod o'r Senedd ac atebodd gwestiynau gan ei ymwelwyr ifanc.
Dywedodd:
Roedd hi’n wych cael croesawu'r disgyblion a'r staff o Ysgol Maesglas, Maes Glas, Treffynnon a siarad â nhw am yr hyn rydyn ni'n ei wneud fel Aelodau o’r Senedd.
Roedd hi mor braf gweld y plant mor frwdfrydig am ymweld â'r Senedd ac fe ofynnon nhw lawer o gwestiynau heriol a chraff am faterion lleol a chenedlaethol.
Dwi'n meddwl ei bod hi mor bwysig bod plant a phobl ifanc yn dysgu mwy am wleidyddiaeth a’r Senedd. Rwy'n mawr obeithio eu bod i gyd wedi mwynhau eu hamser yma a byddwn yn sicr yn annog mwy o ysgolion yn y Gogledd i ymweld.
