Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is delighted to see investment in Wrexham city centre.
Mr Rowlands recently visited Tŷ Pawb, with Cllr Mark Pritchard, the Leader of Wrexham County Borough Council.
He said:
I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Tŷ Pawb and see at first-hand some of the investment Wrexham council is making in the city.
I was very impressed with the resource which brings together the market and the arts along with several street food stalls in the centre of this vibrant city. It has a very community feel and I am sure the venture will be a success.
It was also great to have the chance to speak with Mark Pritchard and talk about some of the challenges and pressures facing the local authority this winter.
Tŷ Pawb is a cultural community resource bringing together arts and markets within the same footprint and celebrates the significance of markets within Wrexham’s cultural heritage and identity.
It offers a space for dialogue around subjects including social and civic issues, the environment, health, cultural identity, sustainability and education.
There is also a contemporary programme of welcoming and inclusive exhibitions, socially engaged projects and live performance. The programme emphasises skills and craft, working with emerging and established artists from all backgrounds.
Sam Rowlands AS yn ymweld â chanolfan adnoddau cymunedol diwylliannol Tŷ Pawb Wrecsam
Mae Sam Rowlands, aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, yn falch iawn o weld buddsoddiad yng nghanol dinas Wrecsam.
Yn ddiweddar ymwelodd Mr Rowlands â Thŷ Pawb, gyda'r Cynghorydd Mark Pritchard, Arweinydd Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam.
Meddai:
Roeddwn wrth fy modd o gael cyfle i ymweld â Thŷ Pawb a chael blas uniongyrchol ar fuddsoddiad Cyngor Wrecsam yn y ddinas.
Fe wnaeth yr adnodd sy'n cyfuno'r farchnad a'r celfyddydau ynghyd â nifer o stondinau bwyd stryd yng nghanol y ddinas fywiog hon, wneud cryn argraff arnaf. Mae teimlad cymunedol iawn yno, a dwi'n siŵr y bydd y fenter yn llwyddiant.
Roedd yn wych cael y cyfle i siarad â Mark Pritchard hefyd a sôn am rai o'r heriau a'r pwysau sy'n wynebu'r awdurdod lleol y gaeaf hwn.
Mae Tŷ Pawb yn adnodd cymunedol diwylliannol sy'n dod â'r celfyddydau a marchnadoedd dan yr un to ac yn dathlu pwysigrwydd marchnadoedd fel rhan o dreftadaeth a hunaniaeth ddiwylliannol Wrecsam.
Mae'n cynnig lle i drafod pynciau gan gynnwys materion cymdeithasol a dinesig, yr amgylchedd, iechyd, hunaniaeth ddiwylliannol, addysg a chynaliadwyedd.
Hefyd, mae'n cynnig rhaglen gyfoes o arddangosfeydd croesawgar a chynhwysol, prosiectau cymdeithasol a pherfformiadau byw. Mae'r rhaglen yn pwysleisio sgiliau a chrefftau, gan weithio gydag artistiaid hen a newydd o bob cefndir.
