Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing a council call for people to properly dispose of their trees.
He said:
As we all start to think of putting away our Christmas decorations for another year it is good to remember recycling advice whether you have a real or fake tree.
It is important to remember when we want to get rid of them that we dispose of them properly.
From a recycling point it is recommended that artificial trees are reused every year to help reduce waste, which is good advice. In Denbighshire residents are encouraged to recycle their real trees in their green wheelie bin or sacks.
Denbighshire County Council say real and artificial trees can be taken to your local Recycling and Waste Park for proper disposal.

Sam Rowlands AS yn annog trigolion i waredu eu coed Nadolig yn briodol
Mae Sam Rowlands, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, yn cefnogi galwadau cyngor i bobl waredu eu coed yn briodol.
Meddai:
Wrth i bawb ddechrau meddwl am gadw ein haddurniadau Nadolig am flwyddyn arall, mae’n werth cofio am y cyngor ailgylchu waeth a oes gennych chi goeden go iawn neu goeden ffug.
Os ydym yn penderfynu cael gwared ar goed mae’n bwysig ein bod ni’n gwneud hynny mewn ffordd briodol.
O safbwynt ailgylchu y cyngor yw ailddefnyddio coed artiffisial bob blwyddyn i helpu i leihau gwastraff, sy’n gyngor da. Mae trigolion Sir Ddinbych yn cael eu hannog i ailgylchu eu coed go iawn yn eu bin neu sachau gwyrdd.
Dywed Cyngor Sir Ddinbych y gall trigolion fynd â choed go iawn ac artiffisial i’w Parc Ailgylchu a Gwastraff lleol i’w gwaredu’n briodol.
