Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is urging residents to take part in a community recycling day.
He is backing an event being organised by Caru Cymru, a Welsh phrase meaning ‘Love Wales’, to encourage people to come along and recycle their unwanted things.
A keen supporter of improving the environment and recycling, he said:
I am pleased to highlight this very important community recycling day and delighted to see Caru Cymru continuing to inspire everyone to take action and care for the environment.
It is an excellent initiative and I hope that residents will take the opportunity to go along and get rid of their unwanted household items and find out more about recycling.
There will also be a litter pick and a chance to pick up some blue sacks and liners for food recycling.
The event is being held at Galaxy Grove, Brynteg, on Monday March 20 between 10am-3pm, with a litter pick starting at 11am.
Apart from being able to collect blue sacks for paper recycling and caddy liners for food recycling there will also be a skip which can be used for unwanted household items.
Wrexham Clothing Exchange will also be there and you will be able to swap your books, hats, scarves, gloves or bags.
You will also be able to learn about upcycling and how you can bring new life into your things.
