Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is encouraging town centre businesses to maximise support opportunities.
Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government said:
I am delighted to hear that 14 traders in Flintshire have already benefitted from bespoke business support following a successful pilot project.
It is great to see funding and support opportunities in North Wales courtesy of the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund which is a huge part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda.
The pilot project, Save the High Street, has been such a success that it has been extended and Flintshire’s regeneration team is now looking for another 15 businesses to receive support from April onwards.
This is all great news for our high streets and it is well worth finding out whether you are eligible for the support available as it really could help you grow your business.
Save the High Street launched in November last year with funding from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and aimed to improve Flintshire’s town centres by helping local businesses.
The scheme is delivered by SaveTheHighstreet.org – a movement launched in 2016 with an exciting new vision for the high street, and is targeted at Mold, Buckley, Flint, Holywell, Connah’s Quay, Shotton and Queensferry.
Each business participating in the Save the High Street project is assigned a coach who conducts a full health check and identifies areas which could be improved or developed.

Sam Rowlands AS yn cefnogi ymestyn cynllun i helpu busnesau lleol Sir y Fflint
Mae Sam Rowlands, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, yn annog busnesau canol y dref i fanteisio i'r eithaf ar gyfleoedd cymorth.
Dywedodd Mr Rowlands, Gweinidog yr Wrthblaid dros Lywodraeth Leol:
Rwy'n falch iawn o glywed bod 14 o fasnachwyr Sir y Fflint wedi elwa eisoes ar gymorth busnes pwrpasol yn dilyn prosiect peilot llwyddiannus.
Mae'n wych gweld cyfleoedd ariannu a chymorth yn dod i'r Gogledd diolch i gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin Llywodraeth y DU sy'n rhan enfawr o agenda Ffyniant Bro Llywodraeth y DU.
Mae'r prosiect peilot, Achub y Stryd Fawr, wedi bod yn gymaint o lwyddiant nes iddo gael ei ymestyn ac mae tîm adfywio Sir y Fflint yn chwilio am 15 busnes arall erbyn hyn i dderbyn cymorth o fis Ebrill ymlaen.
Mae hyn i gyd yn newyddion gwych i'n stryd fawr ac mae'n werth holi a ydych chi'n gymwys i gael y cymorth sydd ar gael, oherwydd fe allai'ch helpu chi i dyfu eich busnes.
Lansiwyd Achub y Stryd Fawr ym mis Tachwedd y llynedd gyda chyllid gan Gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin Llywodraeth y DU a'i nod oedd gwella canol trefi Sir y Fflint trwy helpu busnesau lleol.
Cyflwynir y cynllun gan SaveTheHighstreet.org - mudiad a lansiwyd yn 2016 gyda gweledigaeth newydd gyffrous ar gyfer y stryd fawr, ac sy'n targedu trefi'r Wyddgrug, Bwcle, Fflint, Treffynnon, Cei Connah, Shotton a Queensferry.
Mae pob busnes sy'n cymryd rhan ym mhrosiect Achub y Stryd Fawr yn cael hyfforddwr sy'n cynnal archwiliad iechyd llawn ac yn nodi meysydd y gellid eu gwella neu eu datblygu.
