Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament has called on the new Transport Secretary to stop fiddling about the edges and ditch the default speed limit of 20mph across Wales immediately.
Mr Rowlands, who has constantly opposed and campaigned against the legislation, is urging Ken Skates, Cabinet Secretary for North Wales and Transport to do the right thing.
Mr Skates recently announced that he would be spending the next few months meeting people and organisations to discuss the issue and was urging everyone to let him know where they felt a road could be returned to 30mph.
Mr Rowlands said:
It really is about time the Welsh Government stopped messing about and scrapped this extremely unpopular and unwanted law.
This bonkers idea has led to a petition against its implementation signed by almost half a million people and yet ministers in Cardiff have totally disregarded this.
No one is against 20mph outside schools, hospitals and where there is a proven need but this barmy legislation continues to cause chaos, frustration and confusion across North Wales.
People are absolutely fed up of the continued hassle being caused by this extremely unpopular law. It needs to be scrapped immediately.

Mae'r Aelod o'r Senedd Sam Rowlands wedi galw ar yr Ysgrifennydd Trafnidiaeth newydd i roi'r gorau i botsian a dileu'r terfyn cyflymder diofyn o 20mya ledled Cymru ar unwaith.
Mae Mr Rowlands, sydd wedi gwrthwynebu ac ymgyrchu'n gyson yn erbyn y ddeddfwriaeth, yn annog Ken Skates, Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Ogledd Cymru a Thrafnidiaeth i wneud y peth iawn.
Cyhoeddodd Mr Skates yn ddiweddar y byddai'n treulio'r misoedd nesaf yn cwrdd â phobl a sefydliadau i drafod y mater a'i fod yn annog pawb i roi gwybod iddo lle maen nhw'n teimlo bod angen i'r ffordd ddychwelyd i 30mya.
Dywedodd Mr Rowlands:
Mae'n hen bryd i Lywodraeth Cymru roi'r gorau i botsian, a chael gwared ar y gyfraith hynod amhoblogaidd a digroeso hon.
Mae'r syniad gwallgof hwn wedi arwain at ddeiseb o wrthwynebiad gan bron i hanner miliwn o bobl ac eto mae gweinidogion yng Nghaerdydd wedi diystyru hyn yn llwyr.
Does neb yn erbyn 20mya y tu allan i ysgolion, ysbytai a lle mae angen lleol wedi'i brofi, ond mae'r ddeddfwriaeth boncyrs hon yn parhau i achosi anhrefn, rhwystredigaeth a dryswch ledled y Gogledd.
Mae pobl wedi cael llond bol o'r drafferth barhaus sy'n cael ei achosi gan y gyfraith hynod amhoblogaidd hon. Mae angen ei dileu ar unwaith.
