Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has welcomed a further cash injection from the National Lottery to help projects in his region.
He said:
I am delighted to see more funds being made available with a total of £854,190 being awarded to many schemes across North Wales by the National Lottery Community Fund since February this year.
We have so many different initiatives all over my region and it is really heart-warming to hear about this vital support for our communities.
There are so many deserving schemes and I was particularly delighted to see several projects in Flintshire and Wrexham receiving funding.
These include the Bryn Tirion Charity in Flintshire which will receive £8,500 to develop a forest school and Buckley Cross Methodist Church will use £9,889 to refurbish the church.
In Wrexham, the £9,900 awarded to We are Plas Madoc, will be used to celebrate Eurovision and community events.
They are all excellent projects and in these challenging times it is more important than ever that the support is there for those who need it most.
The Bryn Tirion Charity will use £8,500 to develop a forest school area on the campus for disadvantaged young people and adults to grow food, eat well, learn new skills, improve their mental health and have access to green spaces. The grant will fund a fire pit, seating and tools.
Buckley Cross Methodist Church in Flintshire will use £9,889 to refurbish the community centre to benefit the community. The grant will pay for lighting, radiators, and vertical blinds.
Enbarr Foundation CIC in Flintshire has also been awarded £9,999 which will enable them to host a series of events for community members who face challenges and feel isolated. The events including the Coronation of the King, the Festival of Dreams and a summer school with creativity sessions.
We are Plas Madoc in Wrexham will use £9,900 to deliver events to celebrate the Kings Coronation, Eurovision, and the 75th Anniversary of Windrush to bring the community together and develop cohesion.
Glyntraian Community Council in Wrexham received a £2,850 grant to celebrate the Kings Coronation with a day full of events to bring the community together. While in Clwyd South, Corwen Town Council in Denbighshire, will use £10,000 to install a free-to-use outdoor ‘Urban Gym’. This will help reduce isolation and loneliness amongst community members by providing them with a space where they can socialise and exercise at their leisure.
The funding is made possible thanks to National Lottery players which enables them to award grants to grassroots projects, as well as making larger awards to tackle big social issues such as improving mental health and tackling homelessness. The majority of the funding is to small, community-based organisations, with over 80% of the grants The National Lottery Community Fund award are for £10,000 or less.
Sam Rowlands AS yn falch iawn o weld mwy o gyllid yn cael ei ddyfarnu i brosiectau yn y Gogledd
Mae Sam Rowlands, Aelod o’r Senedd dros y Gogledd, wedi croesawu hwb ariannol pellach gan y Loteri Genedlaethol i helpu prosiectau yn ei ranbarth.
Meddai:
Rwy'n falch tu hwnt o weld mwy o arian yn cael ei roi gyda chyfanswm o £854,190 yn cael ei ddyfarnu i sawl cynllun ledled y Gogledd gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol ers mis Chwefror eleni.
Mae gennym gymaint o wahanol fentrau ar hyd a lled fy rhanbarth ac mae'n galonogol iawn clywed am y gefnogaeth hanfodol hon i'n cymunedau.
Mae cymaint o gynlluniau haeddiannol ac roeddwn i’n arbennig o falch o weld sawl prosiect yn Sir y Fflint a Wrecsam yn derbyn cyllid.
Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys Elusen Bryn Tirion yn Sir y Fflint a fydd yn derbyn £8,500 i ddatblygu ysgol goedwig a bydd Eglwys Fethodistaidd Croes Bwcle’n defnyddio £9,889 i adnewyddu'r eglwys.
Yn Wrecsam, bydd y £9,900 a ddyfarnwyd i We are Plas Madoc, yn cael ei ddefnyddio i ddathlu Eurovision a digwyddiadau cymunedol.
Maen nhw’n brosiectau rhagorol i gyd ac yn y cyfnod heriol hwn mae'n bwysicach nag erioed bod y gefnogaeth yno i'r rhai sydd ei hangen fwyaf.
Bydd Elusen Bryn Tirion yn defnyddio £8,500 i ddatblygu ardal ysgol goedwig ar y campws i bobl ifanc ac oedolion difreintiedig dyfu bwyd, bwyta'n dda, dysgu sgiliau newydd, gwella eu hiechyd meddwl a chael mynediad at fannau gwyrdd. Bydd y grant yn ariannu twll tân, seddi ac offer.
Bydd Eglwys Fethodistaidd Croes Bwcle yn Sir y Fflint yn defnyddio £9,889 i adnewyddu'r ganolfan gymunedol er budd y gymuned. Bydd y grant yn talu am oleuadau, rheiddiaduron, a bleindiau fertigol.
Mae Cwmni Buddiannau Cymunedol Sefydliad Enbarr yn Sir y Fflint wedi derbyn £9,999 hefyd a fydd yn eu galluogi i gynnal cyfres o ddigwyddiadau ar gyfer aelodau'r gymuned sy'n wynebu heriau ac yn teimlo wedi’u hynysu. Bydd y digwyddiadau’n cynnwys Coroni'r Brenin, Gŵyl y Breuddwydion ac ysgol haf gyda sesiynau creadigrwydd.
Bydd We are Plas Madoc yn Wrecsam yn defnyddio £9,900 i gyflwyno digwyddiadau i ddathlu Coroni'r Brenin, Eurovision, a Chofio 75 Mlynedd ers Windrush i ddod â'r gymuned ynghyd a datblygu cydlyniant.
Derbyniodd Cyngor Cymuned Glyntraian yn Wrecsam grant o £2,850 i ddathlu Coroni'r Brenin gyda diwrnod llawn digwyddiadau i ddod â'r gymuned ynghyd. Yn Ne Clwyd, bydd Cyngor Tref Corwen yn Sir Ddinbych, yn defnyddio £10,000 i osod ‘Campfa Drefol' awyr agored i’w defnyddio am ddim. Bydd hyn yn helpu i leihau unigedd ac unigrwydd ymhlith aelodau'r gymuned drwy roi lle iddynt gymdeithasu a gwneud ymarfer corff.
Mae'r cyllid yn bosibl diolch i chwaraewyr y Loteri Genedlaethol sy'n eu galluogi i ddyfarnu grantiau i brosiectau ar lawr gwlad, yn ogystal â gwneud dyfarniadau mwy i fynd i'r afael â materion cymdeithasol mawr fel gwella iechyd meddwl a mynd i'r afael â digartrefedd. Mae'r rhan fwyaf o'r cyllid ar gyfer sefydliadau bach, yn y gymuned, gyda dros 80% o'r grantiau y mae Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol yn eu dyfarnu yn £10,000 neu lai.
