Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing a campaign to prevent crime and keep communities safe across his Region.
Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government and a keen supporter of the work of the police said:
I am happy to raise awareness of the ‘We Don’t Buy Crime’ campaign across North Wales and support North Wales Police’s initiative to help us all to take measures to reduce the chance of becoming a victim of crime.
I think it is a great idea for our local PCSO’s to be out in the community offering advice and urge anyone interested in having a chat with them to attend Prestatyn Carnival this weekend where they will be manning a stall.
North Wales Police Neighbourhood Police and the ‘We Don’t Buy Crime PCSO’s will be at the carnival from 10am and If you are interested in improving home security, they can offer advice on keeping your home and valuables safe and are happy to discuss any issues affecting your area.
As part of the campaign NWP are partnering with communities and businesses to minimise crime, and catch and convict offenders who commit: burglary; robbery; theft and vehicle crime.
These are crimes where the offender profits from the crime, collectively known as ‘acquisitive crime’ which can have an impact on individuals, communities, and businesses.
If you want to contact NWP about another matter or to report a crime, you can use the live chat service, or call 101. Always call 999 in an emergency.
