Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has being seeing at first-hand how a housing organisation is helping local people.
Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government recently visited a business unit within Grŵp Cynefin housing association at the Denbigh HWB.
He said:
I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet with members of staff from Grŵp Cynefin housing association and learn more about the valuable work they are doing in North Wales.
They work with individuals and families covering Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire supporting those suffering from domestic abuse and people at risk of homelessness.
I was very impressed with the work which is being carried out in my region and it was great to hear all about their various projects and the support which is given to those who need it.
Gorwel, based at the Denbigh HWB, is a business unit within Grŵp Cynefin housing association which provides quality services to support people suffering domestic abuse and people at risk of losing their homes to prevent homelessness.
They work with individuals and families, including tenants of Grŵp Cynefin, across North Wales on projects such as refuges, supported housing schemes, services supporting children and young people, support in the community and an independent domestic violence advisory service.
On average they support up to 500 people a week and employ over 60 professionals with experienced and professional staff working from offices in Denbigh, Penygroes, Llangefni, Pwllheli, Dolgellau and Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Mae Sam Rowlands, AS Rhanbarthol Gogledd Cymru, wedi gweld drosto'i hun sut mae sefydliad tai yn helpu pobl leol.
Yn ddiweddar, ymwelodd Mr Rowlands, Gweinidog yr Wrthblaid dros Lywodraeth Leol ag uned fusnes o fewn cymdeithas dai Grŵp Cynefin yn HWB Dinbych.
Dywedodd:
Roeddwn i'r falch o'r cyfle i gwrdd ag aelodau staff o gymdeithas dai Grŵp Cynefin a dysgu mwy am y gwaith gwerthfawr maen nhw'n ei wneud yma yn y Gogledd.
Maen nhw'n gweithio gydag unigolion a theuluoedd o Ynys Môn, Gwynedd, Conwy a Sir Ddinbych i gefnogi'r rhai sy'n dioddef cam-drin domestig a phobl sydd mewn perygl o fod yn ddigartref.
Fe wnaeth eu gwaith ledled y rhanbarth greu cryn argraff arnaf, ac roedd hi'n wych clywed popeth am eu prosiectau amrywiol a'r cymorth sydd ar gael i rai mewn angen.
Mae Gorwel, uned fusnes o fewn cymdeithas dai Grŵp Cynefin yn HWB Dinbych, yn darparu gwasanaethau o safon i gefnogi pobl sy'n dioddef cam-drin domestig a phobl sydd mewn perygl o golli eu cartrefi, i atal digartrefedd.
Maen nhw'n gweithio gydag unigolion a theuluoedd, gan gynnwys tenantiaid Grŵp Cynefin, ar hyd a lled y Gogledd, ar brosiectau fel llochesi, cynlluniau tai â chymorth, gwasanaethau cymorth i blant a phobl ifanc, cymorth yn y gymuned a gwasanaeth cynghori annibynnol ar drais domestig.
Ar gyfartaledd, maen nhw'n cefnogi hyd at 500 o bobl yr wythnos ac yn cyflogi 60 a mwy o weithwyr proffesiynol gyda staff profiadol a phroffesiynol yn swyddfeydd Dinbych, Pen-y-groes, Llangefni, Pwllheli, Dolgellau a Blaenau Ffestiniog.
