Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is calling on his constituents to take the opportunity to find out more about Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
Mr Rowlands, a long-time critic of the health board, is urging the public to attend their Annual General Meeting next week.
He said:
The health board is organising a healthy fayre alongside their AGM which will enable the public to hear about their work and how they are tackling being in Special Measures. There will also be the opportunity to meet and talk to board members.
Everybody knows about the problems we are having with the health board here in North Wales and I think it is important that there is far more engagement with local people.
Sharing more information is long overdue and it is good to see this event will be one of several across North Wales.
The AGM will take place in Trinity Community Centre, Llandudno, on Wednesday, September 27, with doors opening at 1.45pm for the health fayre followed by the meeting and everyone is welcome to attend.
The healthy fayre will include information, demonstrations and presentations on several health services and members of the public can discuss their work and ask questions to board members and the executive team.
This will be the first in a series of healthy fayres planned to run across North Wales in coming months, allowing the health board the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with the public about what health and health care means to them.
